Dear scholarship winner, I'm Cinzia di Pizio director and ballet teacher of "Ravenna Ballet Studio".
I would be very pleased to describe our summer ballet program . During Summer Academy you can attend these classes: Ballet, Contemporary, Modern,Ballet repertory, Choreographic Lab. Level arre : Junior (9/11 years), Intermedium, Advanced With Open pack you have four class per day of your level You can have lunch in the spaces set up inside the school with a packed lunch or if you or if you prefer in the close restaurant.The scholarship does not include food, accommodation and travel.
If you come in Ravenna with your family or teacher you can take advantage of the partner hotels and your companions will enjoy our art’s city and our coast with nice sea. School description:
Ravenna Ballet Studio was founded in 2009 thanks to the idea of the director, Mrs Cinzia di Pizio. She was dancer at the Opera in Vienna and Salzburg
The two ballrooms of the school are equipped with "Harlequin" professional floors. During the years our school hosted teachers of international fame.The school hosted dance company such as Bolshoi , Mariinsky Ballet, Dutch DansGroep ,Taiwanese Cloud Gate Dance Theatre etc,
Ravenna, the city of mosaics.Ravenna is a treasure chest of art, history and culture of first order; in its glorious past, it was capital three times between the 5th and 8th centuries and the magnificence of this period has left important remains that have come down to us today. Ravenna is the city of mosaic art which did not originate here but found its highest form of expression in a mixture of symbolism and realism, Roman and Byzantine influences and even today this ancient craft lives on in schools and workshops. In 1996 Unesco recognized eight historic buildings as World Heritage. But Ravenna is not only mosaic. The city was the last refuge of Dante Alighieri who finished here to write the Divina Commedia. Candidate city for European Capital of Culture 2019, on Summer hosts Ravenna Festival, one of the most cultural events of international prestige with concerts, opera and ballet supported by the orchestra leader Riccardo Muti.
